As we welcomed spring this year, many people took on the cause of the Victoria Dandelion Society and gave gifts to spread hope. If that describes you—or if you’ve given at any other time—thank you! I sincerely appreciate all of the support that you so freely gave, especially during our Easter Match Campaign, when every dollar you gave was doubled!

I’m also grateful for all of you who let your family and friends know about Victoria Dandelion Society’s work in doing in the community to help those who are too often forgotten. Thank you for remembering our street family, and thank you for spreading the hope we aim to bring.

Together, we surpassed our initial goal and raised $56,446 by Easter Sunday! I was filled with gratitude as I led my annual Good Friday service on March 25 in Centennial Square. The event was open to anyone who wanted to attend, and the liturgy was written by the street community and for the street community.

The readings were followed by a breakfast at 9 a.m. and it was a wonderful opportunity for our friends in the street community to share stories with each other.

Because of people like you, our team can spread hope to more marginalized people in our street community than ever before, by providing connections with resources and meeting people where they’re at, with a listening ear.

Please continue to stay updated through this blog, our Facebook page, our newsletters and emails—and share what you learn with others who will be excited to put their care into action!
