Limited shelter space in Victoria means that many are forced to sleep outside, vulnerable to the elements. Help us equip our street family with much-needed supplies to fight off the cold this winter.

Donated Goods

These items make a considerable difference in the well-being of our community:  
  • Rain-gear, new or gently used
    (Ponchos, rain jackets, rain pants)
  • Traps
  • Tents
  • Toques
  • Warm jackets
  • Socks
    (wool is preferred)
  • Camping mats
  • Backpacks
  • Gloves & Hand warmers
  • Sleeping bags
  • Baked goods
    (We provide coffee and donuts, but home-baked goods are a truly special gift for people who haven't had a home-cooked meal in years. We serve around 80 peoples each morning.)
  • Cell phones and chargers

Items Not Accepted

Due to the nature of our work, some donations are better given to other services. We cannot accept:  
  • Clothing (besides socks)
  • Household furniture
  • Prepared meals

Dropping off your items

The Dandelion Society can't do pick-ups due to limited capacity. The listed donations can be dropped off downtown at the Raincoast Business Centre. Please label your items "Dandelion Society" to ensure we receive them.
